We made a trip to Ogun state today 29th of October 2016, where A lovely soul is languishing in Ogun state police Eleweran Abeokuta and her name is Oluchi Mbonu ( maiden name ).

Oluchi is a seasoned banker , a friendly soul, a dear friend , a sister and above all a mother to a lovely beautiful young daughter.

Oluchi is being accused of conspiring with some dirty frail looking guys labeled ASSASSINS .... Lol.... to kill her hubby ( thou hubby is still very much alive ) . I am not a lawyer neither am I the police but it's not rocket science to know that this is just a Bogus story to ruin her reputation and tarnish her image. The picture is so clear that she is a VICTIM of circumstance and evil manipulation from a bitter Man( ex hubby) .....Ooh yes , he threatened to deal with her and after he is done , no man would look at her .

My fellow Nigerians , this treat is in motion and we all must join hands together to stop it and make a difference .
How can we do this? Let's make noise until the real story is told . Yes justice must surely take it's course but it's taking too long . She has no business in Eleweran police station, this case should be transferred to Lagos State where the so called failed assassination took place so proper investigation can take it's course .

4) the assassins said they were paid 500,000. Was it given to them in cash ? Where and when ( dates and time stamps ) ? Did the assassins pay the 500k into their account ? If they did , where is statement of account ? Did they keep it under their bed or where is the 500k ? Or did they finish chopping it so fast in this buhari economy ?

5) how long did they plan this failed assassination? There must be phone records and voice calls between her and them and this records can be retrieved from the network provider Mtn. Was this done ?

All media houses And bloggers who carried the story sharp sharp , pls take correction .... Thank you for trying to murder her name ... Oluchi is going to come out victorious after proper INVESTIGATION is carried out.

Photos: Akwa Ibom man accuses his children of witchcraft, nails them on the cross in Calabar

In another gut wrenching and bizarre revelation by the Child's Right And Rehabilitation Network(CRARN)  a 40year old man, John Friday Akpan from Akwa Ibom State, resident in Calabar the Cross River State capital, is now explaining to the police how he heeded the advice of a herbalist, "Dr." Okokon and eventually tagged his two children, Elisha Friday Akpan and Esther Friday Akpan as witches and wizards.

An act reminiscent of the nailing of Jesus Christ on the Cross, Friday Akpan subjected his two children aged, 12 and 6 respectively, to harrowing treatment by nailing them to a plank in shape of a cross and locking them up in a dark, thatch hut without food for weeks. He claimed that the children took his money to their "master in the witchcraft coven and therefore deserve no mercy". He told the police.

Following weeks starvation, the two children whose emaciated and dirty physical appearance replicate the gory images of starving children in famine-ravaged Somalia and war-torn Sudan said they survived by water which was supplied to them by one of the man's kids from another woman.
"Our sister, Peace usually bring us water inside the hut when our father and our mother had gone out". Esther said.
Their father, the kids said, used to reside in Akpabuyo, Cross River State, Nigeria with the family where he sent them to a private school, Regent Nursery and Primary School, Ikot Nkanda but when their mother died and the man took another wife, Iquo, the story changed.
"My mother (stepmother), said the woman who used to live near our house in Akpabuyo gave us food and she put something (witchcraft spell) in the food and when we ate it we changed to bird at night and took our fathers money to 'our master' in the witchcraft world". Elisha who is a JSS one student of Regent said.
According to the kids, Elisha was alleged to have taken 4,000 Naira while Esther took 2,000 Naira and that angered their father and step-mother who started beating them severely and denying them food "because they said we took their money to our master in the witchcraft coven. This is something I don’t even understand"

New study clears long-blamed ‘Patient Zero’ for cause of AIDS epidemic in America, says disease began to spread in 1970s New York

v
CHICAGO — Genes taken from archived blood samples show the U.S. AIDS epidemic started in New York in the early 1970s, definitively debunking the long-held belief that the virus was spread in the early 1980s by a flight attendant who became vilified as "Patient Zero" for seeding the U.S. outbreak.
Scientists have long suspected that HIV had been circulating in the United States for a decade before the first few AIDS cases were identified in Los Angeles 1981. The new study, published in the journal Nature, offers some of the first genetic proof.
"What we've done here is tried to get at the origins of the first cases of AIDS that were ever noticed," said Michael Worobey, the evolutionary biologist at the University of Arizona who led the study.
Using a painstaking new approach, Worobey and colleagues pieced together the entire genetic sequence of the HIV virus from eight archived blood samples taken in 1978 and 1979 from gay and bisexual men participating in a hepatitis B study.
New York State on pace to end AIDS epidemic by 2020
The team traced genetic changes in the virus samples taken from male patients in New York and San Francisco. The researchers found that the HIV virus first jumped from the Caribbean to New York City around 1970, triggering the North American epidemic.
The team used the same approach to extract the full HIV genetic code from "Patient Zero," a flight attendant identified as Gaetan Dugas in the Randy Shilts 1987 bestseller "And the Band Played On."
Shilts, who wrote his book after Dugas had died, identified him as playing a key role in spreading the virus; media accounts painted him as a villain. The new study, however, found no biological evidence suggesting Dugas was the primary cause of the HIV epidemic in North America.
Dugas was first associated with the epidemic through a study by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention that connected AIDS to sexual transmission of the disease in a cluster of 40 homosexual men.
‘Psycho’ actor Anthony Perkins dies from AIDS at 60 in 1992
In the study, Dugas was identified as "Patient O" because he was from outside of California, where the outbreak was believed to have started. That letter "O" was later mistaken for the number "0" and Dugas eventually became known as "Patient Zero," meaning the first patient infected in an epidemic.
"This individual was simply one of thousands infected before HIV was recognized," study co-author Richard McKay, a medical historian at the University of Cambridge, told reporters in a telephone briefing.
Worobey said the technique developed to extract and restore HIV genes from old blood samples borrows from technology used to identify ancient DNA.
Once they had the genetic code, the team evaluated the mutations made by the virus as it copied itself. This allowed the team to build an HIV family tree. Worobey believes a chimp first infected a human in Africa in the early 20th century. The virus that caused the U.S. epidemic emerged from Africa in the mid to late-1960s, and caused an outbreak in Haiti and other Caribbean countries.
Alexis Arquette died of complications from AIDS: report
In 1970 or 1971, this strain hopped from Haiti to New York, making the city a hub of transmission, Worobey said. The virus spread to a large number of people "many years before AIDS was noticed," he said.
The team believes the virus arrived in San Francisco in 1975. The first five cases of AIDS were identified in California 1981, and they were first attributed to HIV in 1984.
"Our analysis shows that the outbreaks in California that first caused people to ring the alarm bells and led to the discovery of AIDS were really just offshoots of the earlier outbreak in New York City," Worobey said.

“Released Chibok Girls Need Psychological Rehabilitation" – Pope Francis

Pope Francis 1, leader of the Catholic Church worldwide, has said the 21 Chibok girls released from Sambisa forest need psychological evaluation conducted by experts.

Pope Francis who made this statement through his representative, President of Pontifical Mission Societies (Nigeria), Rev. Fr. George Ajana, during this year’s World Mission Sunday, at Our Lady Queen of Nigeria Pro-Cathedral, Area 3, Abuja, said;
“The release of the 21 Chibok girls is victory, it is a very good sign and we are thanking God for it that some of the Chibok girls were released. Nigerians have been celebrating all this while, the church joins them in the celebration and we are one with them.

So, we first of all thank God that a few of them, just 21 were released. The Chibok girls need medical assistance; the government is doing that already. They have been taken to hospital. I think they will need psychological rehabilitation. The government need to bring in experts to stabilise them because they must have gone through a lot of trauma.
"I don’t think they will be their normal selves any longer. So, the Chibok girls need to be psychologically brought back to their real life. And we need to pray for them; the church will be very happy to do that. We keep praying for the release of the rest because they are human beings to be respected. The life of one person is as important as the lives of the whole nation, which must be respected."

Nigerian president responds to wife’s criticism: ‘She belongs to my kitchen

Nigeria’s first lady has openly questioned her husband’s work and said she may not support him if he runs again – comments that President Muhammadu Buhari laughed off, saying, “I don’t know which party my wife belongs to, but she belongs to my kitchen and my living room and the other room.” His comments to reporters in Germany promoted German Chancellor Angela Merkel, standing at his side, to give him a short glare and then laugh. In an interview with the BBC Hausa-language service broadcast Friday, Aisha Buhari said her husband did not know many top government appointees, and she accused them of not sharing the vision of his All Progressives Congress party. Nigerians feel pride and despair on 56th Independence

Abuja, Nigeria - The lights are off and a few hundred people sit in the darkness of an auditorium facing a glowing stage. The Nigerian poet, Dike Chukwumerije recites a series of poems describing Nigeria's tumultuous history.
Chukwumerije's poems convey nostalgia and a longing for the Nigeria he experienced in his childhood. They illustrate a sense of loss in indigenous, cultural pride, a sense that Nigeria - which at 180 million, is Africa's most populous nation, has lost its direction on the road to nation-building since its independence from the United Kingdom on October 1, 1960.
He laments the rise of religious extremism and the destruction of Nigeria's natural environment in places like the oil-rich Niger Delta region where the excavation of crude oil and spillages have left the mangrove swamps in a perpetual state of degradation.
"Bring back the trees, bring back the river, bring back the clean and peaceful delta.
Bring back the night, the full-mooned night and the stories we told by candlelight …

Who brought us to this place of tears ... before the proof of faith was riches?
Bring back Islam before jihadists, before the proof of faith was murder.
Bring back our love for one another.
When neighbours checked on each other's children not plotted how to kidnap them …

No matter how fast your internet is, you can't replace this heritage …
Bring back that old morality that drew its pride from who we were and not from what we wore.

Bring back the days of heroes past ...
How did it ever come to this?
***
The event took place in the Nigerian capital of Abuja on the eve on Nigeria's 56 years of independence.
Today, on Nigeria's independence day, Nigerians reflect on what this day means to them.
